Brookhaven, Mississippi, is the county seat of Lincoln County and a longtime center of commerce in southwest Mississippi. Founded in 1818 and named for Brookhaven, New York, the community later grew with the arrival of the railroad and became known as the “Homeseekers Paradise.” Its historic downtown, tree-lined neighborhoods, and generations of locally owned businesses reflect the city’s deep roots and small-town character.
