Jubilee! JAM 1990

Jubilee! JAM was a beloved annual music and arts festival that transformed the streets of downtown Jackson, Mississippi, into a celebration of live entertainment, food, and community. First held on May 2, 1987, the festival grew into one of Mississippi's premier musical events, attracting thousands of visitors and featuring legendary performers such as James Brown, Bob Dylan, ZZ Top, and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. With multiple stages, local food vendors, arts and crafts, and performances spanning rock, blues, country, gospel, and more, Jubilee! JAM became a cherished tradition for generations of Mississippians. The festival held its final event in 2009, leaving behind unforgettable memories of summer nights filled with music along Capitol Street.
