Kona Lanes

Kona Lanes was a beloved Costa Mesa, California bowling alley that entertained generations of Southern Californians from 1958 until 2003. The 40-lane center was famous for its striking Polynesian-inspired architecture, complete with dramatic rooflines, neon lighting, and an unforgettable roadside Tiki-style sign. More than just a bowling alley, Kona Lanes featured a lounge, game room, and coffee shop and became a longtime gathering place for local leagues, families, and friends. The landmark was demolished after closing, but its iconic sign was preserved, helping keep the memory of one of Orange County’s great mid-century hangouts alive. This piece of apparel is part of our California Entertainment Collection.
