Olive Branch, Mississippi, is a historic DeSoto County community located just southeast of Memphis, Tennessee. Originally known as Watson’s Crossroads, the town was renamed Olive Branch in the 1840s and grew from a small rural settlement into one of the largest cities in Mississippi. Its historic Old Towne district preserves reminders of the community’s early days, while decades of residential and commercial growth have transformed the surrounding area. Today, Olive Branch blends its North Mississippi roots and small-town heritage with the conveniences of the greater Memphis metropolitan area.
