Lum's

Lum’s was a familiar American restaurant chain during the 1960s and 1970s, remembered especially for its hot dogs steamed in beer, cold beer served in frosted mugs, and later the seasoned Ollieburger. The chain began in Miami Beach, Florida in 1956 and expanded rapidly, reaching roughly 400 locations in the United States and abroad by the early 1970s. After several ownership changes, the company entered bankruptcy in 1982, although some independently operated Lum’s restaurants survived for many years afterward.
