The Jersey Shore Bullets played in the Eastern Basketball Association (EBA). They were one of a number of teams that came and went quickly from the EBA in the 1960s and 70s. The Bullets moved to New Jersey from Hazleton during the 1976-77 season and finished with a 3-18 record. The Bullets would bounce back to be the best team in third division in 1977-78 with a 20-11 record. This is the season the EBA expanded to Alaska with the addition of the Anchorage Northern Knights and became the CBA. As the CBA expanded, so did the Bullets as they moved into the Asbury Park Convention Hall on the beach in Asbury Park for the 1978-79 season. The Bullets would go 22-26 and fold at season’s end.
