TG&Y

TG&Y was founded in Oklahoma in 1935 by Rawdon Tomlinson, Enoch Gosselin, and Raymond Young, whose last initials gave the variety-store chain its name. At its peak, TG&Y operated hundreds of stores and was one of the nation’s largest variety-store chains. After ownership changes and increasing competition from discount retailers such as Walmart, the TG&Y name disappeared in the early 2000s. This piece of apparel is part of our Department & Discount Stores Collection.
