Known for its colorful tropical-themed branding, Coconuts offered a wide selection of vinyl records, cassette tapes, CDs, VHS movies, DVDs, and music-related merchandise. The stores were favorite destinations for music and movie fans looking for the latest releases, browsing bargain bins, or discovering hard-to-find albums and films. As part of the Trans World Entertainment retail network, many Coconuts locations were eventually converted to the FYE brand or closed as digital music, online shopping, and streaming transformed the entertainment industry.
