WZZQ (102.9 FM) was a legendary, counterculture, free-form rock radio station in Jackson, Mississippi that broadcasted during the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s. It is widely celebrated as one of the most iconic radio stations in Mississippi’s history, serving as a cultural pinnacle for progressive rock and album-oriented rock (AOR) before officially going off the air on July 2, 1981.
