Baltimore Skipjacks

The Baltimore Skipjacks was a minor league professional ice hockey team from Baltimore, Maryland. The Baltimore franchise originated in 1979, and played as the Baltimore Clippers in the Eastern Hockey League for two seasons. In 1981 they changed their name to the Skipjacks. In 1993, the team relocated to Portland, Maine and changed their name to the Pirates.
