Beach Drive-In Theatre
American Retro Apparel
The Beach Drive-In Theatre was a popular outdoor movie theater located at 1860 Beach Boulevard along Highway 90 in Biloxi, Mississippi. Dating to around 1950, the theater became a favorite Gulf Coast entertainment destination, eventually accommodating approximately 700 automobiles and featuring two screens. Despite suffering extensive damage from Hurricane Camille in 1969, the Beach Drive-In was rebuilt and continued entertaining moviegoers with everything from Hollywood hits to memorable dusk-to-dawn movie marathons. The theater closed in September 1983, and its remaining screens were destroyed by Hurricane Elena in 1985, bringing an end to a beloved piece of Biloxi's drive-in movie history. This piece of apparel is part of our Mississippi Entertainment Collection.
