Gravesite of Laura Kelly

Laura Kelly passed away in 1890 at the young age of 38. Devastated by her death, her husband, Charles Clay Kelly, commissioned an Italian sculptor to carve a life-sized statue in her exact likeness, utilizing a photograph and either her wedding gown or favorite dress.

The gravesite is located in the Kosciusko City Cemetery on Huntington Street in Kosciusko, Mississippi.
