Great Southern Hotel
American Retro Apparel
The Great Southern Hotel in Gulfport, Mississippi was a historic grand resort that served as the city’s centerpiece during the early 20th century. Built in around 1903 by entrepreneur Joseph T. Jones—one of Gulfport's co-founders—and designed by New Orleans architect Thomas Sully, the opulent 250-room wooden structure was constructed to put Gulfport on the map as a premier resort town for tourists escaping cold Northern winters.
