Green Derby
American Retro Apparel

The Green Derby was a longtime Jackson, Mississippi restaurant and a familiar landmark along Highway 80 West, remembered for its Southern cooking and distinctive roadside sign. Originally located near the intersection of Highway 80 and Robinson Street, the restaurant moved in 1956 to a new building at Highway 80 and Ellis Avenue, adjacent to the Drake Motel. Its menu featured Southern favorites, hot biscuits, hickory-smoked barbecue, charbroiled steaks, and other specialties, making it a popular destination for local families, businesspeople, and travelers. After serving Jackson for decades, the Green Derby closed, and its building was demolished on March 29, 1993, bringing an end to one of the capital city's memorable dining establishments.
