Hugo’s Restaurant was an iconic, beloved Italian eatery in Biloxi, Mississippi, famous for pioneering the unique regional tradition of putting French dressing on pizza. Founded in 1951 by Hugo J. Rungo Sr., a New York native stationed at Keesler Air Force Base, the original spot opened in a small alleyway near where the Biloxi Regional Hospital was later built. It subsequently moved to its landmark location at the corner of West Division Street and Porter Avenue, where it stood as a staple of Gulf Coast culture until it permanently closed its doors in 2003. This shirt is part of our Mississippi Bars & Restaurants Collection.
