Merigold is also home to McCarty’s Pottery, founded in 1954 and known throughout Mississippi and beyond for its distinctive handcrafted pottery. Today, the town combines its Delta agricultural heritage with a unique artistic tradition that has made Merigold familiar to generations of Mississippians.
