Musicland
American Retro Apparel

Musicland was one of America's most recognizable record store chains, beginning with a single store in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1956. A familiar fixture in shopping malls across the country during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s, Musicland offered a wide selection of vinyl records, cassette tapes, CDs, and music-related merchandise. For generations of music lovers, browsing the racks at Musicland was a favorite pastime, whether searching for the latest album, discovering a new artist, or spending an afternoon at the mall. Most Musicland stores were converted to the Sam Goody name during the late 1990s, marking the end of a beloved retail brand that helped define the golden age of record shopping.
