Old Vicksburg Bridge
American Retro Apparel
The Old Vicksburg Bridge is a historic, 8,546-foot steel cantilever truss bridge connecting Vicksburg, Mississippi, with Delta, Louisiana. Completed in April 1930, it stands as an engineering landmark because it was the very first bridge built over the Mississippi River south of Memphis, opening up the South to coast-to-coast highway travel along U.S. Route 80. Though it was permanently closed to vehicular traffic in 1998, it continues to serve as an active railroad bridge for the Kansas City Southern Railroad.
