Raymond, Mississippi

Raymond, Mississippi, is a historic community in Hinds County and one of the county's two seats of government, located southwest of Jackson. Established in 1829, the town grew into an important center for agriculture, commerce, and community life in central Mississippi. Raymond is known for its picturesque courthouse square, historic homes, and the Raymond Military Park, which preserves the site of an important Civil War battle.
