Singing River Mall

Singing River Mall opened in 1980 in Gautier, Mississippi, becoming a major shopping and entertainment destination for residents of Jackson County and the surrounding Mississippi Gulf Coast. Located along U.S. Highway 90, the enclosed mall featured popular department stores, specialty retailers, restaurants, and a movie theater, attracting generations of shoppers from Pascagoula, Moss Point, Ocean Springs, and neighboring communities. Among its memorable establishments was Widow Watson's, a bar and restaurant that also had a location at Metrocenter Mall in Jackson. After decades of changing retail trends and declining occupancy, Singing River Mall closed in 2013 and was subsequently demolished, leaving behind fond memories of shopping trips, family outings, and afternoons spent with friends.
