Skyvue Drive-In Theatre
American Retro Apparel

The Skyvue Drive-In Theatre was a popular outdoor movie theater located on Lindbergh Drive in Jackson, Mississippi, near the old Overhead Bridge at the western end of Capitol Street. Opening on November 7, 1950, Skyvue became one of Jackson's early drive-in theaters, offering moviegoers the opportunity to enjoy Hollywood films from the comfort of their automobiles. With its towering outdoor screen and traditional car-side speakers, the theater was part of the city's thriving drive-in movie culture during the 1950s and 1960s. Skyvue closed on October 9, 1965, and its property was later demolished to make way for the Interstate 220 and West Capitol Street interchange, leaving behind memories of movies under the stars in Jackson. This piece of apparel is part of our Mississippi Entertainment Collection.
