Southaven, Mississippi

Southaven, Mississippi, is a DeSoto County city located just south of Memphis, Tennessee and has grown into one of the largest communities in the state. Incorporated in 1980, Southaven takes its name from its location south of Whitehaven, a longtime Memphis community just across the state line. The city experienced tremendous growth as homes, businesses, shopping, and entertainment expanded throughout northern DeSoto County. Today, Southaven combines its North Mississippi identity with the energy and conveniences of the greater Memphis metropolitan area.
