Upstairs at Gene and Gabe’s was ground zero for Atlanta entertainment in the ’70s and ’80s until they closed. On any given night you’d see actors Paul Lynde, Joan Rivers, Lana Turner, Rosemary Clooney, Cleo Laine and others. These were all Gene’s friends from New York.
