WHFS was the call sign for a FM station in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore, Maryland markets. It was a progressive rock station and was usually, and affectionately, referred to as 'HFS. WHFS broadcast on 102.3 FM from 1961 to 1983 and 99.1 FM from 1983 to 2005.
